Shares on the tumble again

Share prices took a second tumble on heightened fears of rate rises.

Stock markets have done particularly well in recent years as a result of historically low interest rates, but with interest rates now expected to rise, investors may be more tempted to regain some liquidity and move their investment out of equities.

In a highly volatile week, China's Shanghai Composite fell by 4.1%, with Japan's Nikkei 225 index down 2.8%. This follows a second drop of over 1000 points for the Dow Jones Average.
